byteme was launched in June 2009. Alongside with fellow comrades, Harris Kladis, Notis Halkidis and Nikos Kontis, we decided to create a videogames website that would make a difference in the market. It was also our first indie project: no publishing companies, no petty bosses, no stupid constraints. byteme aimed towards a core audience that loved videogames and treated them as a way of life. For byteme videogames were equal to the contemporary pop culture, not just a hobby or simply ‘toys for boys’. Its contents spanned from reviews, hands-on and news reports, to charts, interviews and business analyses. My role in byteme was a rather complex one. From the very first day I was involved until April 2012, I was the main responsible for communication and publicity issues
